    • Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Many people ask "does getting a tattoo hurt" and the answer is not really, but it does depend on the location of the tattoo. Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others due to nerve ends in your skin. It is a myth that being skinny or fat, or having a tattoo on a bony area, somehow affects what you feel when you receive a tattoo. Your body is unique. You and your friend could get a tattoo in the same place on your bodies, but one of you will feel more sensitive than the other.

We do not recommend drinking alcohol just before you get a tattoo. You will be likely to bleed more, and will probably not sit as still as you should. Our suggestion is get a good night's sleep, eat a good meal, and hydrate your body before you come to get a tattoo or piercing.

    • Can I go in the sun with my new tattoo?

We do not recommend it, but there is a solution for all you tourists and sun bathers. Local pharmacies sell "water proof non-stick bandages" that can cover a new tattoo for a brief period of time. They will not harm your tattoo if you only use them for thirty minutes or so. We strongly suggest that you get your tattoo at the end of your holiday or vacation.

    • Can I go in the ocean?

We do not recommend it. A fresh tattoo definitely should not be exposed to salt water. A piercing could become infected by bacteria in the ocean.

    • Can I go in a swimming pool?

NO. Chlorine is bad for any fresh tattoo or a piercing.
